MORR Capital  ·  Investments

Operators who invest.

We take control positions and significant minority stakes, deal by deal, in businesses we understand. Our own capital, no fund clock, and operating teams that do considerably more than attend a board meeting.

Investment criteria

What we buy.

Businesses where the distance between what they are and what they could be is operating work we have already done elsewhere.

Founder transitions
Owners stepping back from businesses that still depend on them. Control with continuity, and a plan for the decisions the founder used to carry.
Corporate carve-outs
Units that were never the parent’s priority and were run accordingly. The upside is usually attention rather than transformation.
Structural dislocation
Sound businesses financed wrongly, or priced against a sector rather than against their own cash flow.
Inflection points
Companies with more demand than they can serve, where the constraint is systems and people rather than market.
Discipline

What we decline.

Said plainly, because a fast no is worth more than a slow maybe.

Not for us

Three situations we pass on consistently, regardless of price.

  • Passive minority stakes without governance rights
  • Turnarounds that require a market to recover
  • Broad auctions decided on price alone

How a transaction reaches us

Three routes, and we are explicit about which one you are in.

  • With founders — control with continuity, structured around what the owner wants next
  • With sponsors — co-investment and execution alongside an existing position
  • With family offices — direct opportunities, on the same terms we take ourselves
Coverage

Core sectors.

Sector familiarity matters less than two questions asked before any commitment: can we underwrite the cash flow, and can we name the risks a counterparty will find.

Business services
Founder-owned services firms with recurring revenue and real customer concentration risk.
Energy
Conventional and transition assets, operators, and the services layer around them.
Real assets & infrastructure
Long-duration assets where the capital structure decides the return.
Industrials & manufacturing
Family-held manufacturers facing succession, consolidation, or a first outside partner.
Engagement references available upon request.

We invest to build a business, not to hold an asset.

Start

Bring us the situation.

Including the ones that are complicated to explain. Those are usually the ones worth the conversation.
